Btw, don't ignore M-class stars.

Where star system with just a single M-class almost guaranty will have just a bunch of icy rocks. System with more than two stars, where main star is M-class, will have very decent chance having water worlds. And in few cases even earth-likes.

I personaly fould two earth-likes at star systems with main M-class star. And that 2 of 6 total earth-like i found to my trip to center of glaxy and back.

Also found and first-scaned bunch of water world very close to bubble. Those also was at M-class star system, ppl seems just skipped that class when exploring.

Low power shields requeres less power. Which is both useful for easier fitting (can sometimes use even lower class powerplant), and generating less heat when active.

And they are lighter, which is also obviosly very important for explorer.

Reinforced shield motsly give resistances against kinetic/thermal/explosive damage. Which is completely useless for collision damage. And of course explorers needs shields just to land on planet without taking any collision damage to hull (especialy when transporting VIP passengers, which hates that). So shield strength here completely irrelevant. Lowest possible strength is enough to avoid hull damage on landing.

Oh and btw. It Chief Petty Offecer rank requirment correct? Elite shipyards states that you need to be Ensign to be able to buy FAS.

Since there was neevr female ruler of the Empire, official title always was Emperor. Today's Empire kinda goin away from old ways, but title still remain as an "Emperor" even though she is female.

But thats just lore thing. Me and most other pilots calling her Empress :)

There is much-much easier way to smuggle illegal goods to station. Just do it normaly, no modules disabling, no silent running, no heat sinks. As soon as police will start scann you, wait around 4 seconds, and then launch chaff. That will completely revert those 4 seconds of attempting to scann you, and will make imposible to scann for he rest of the duration of chaff. And after that police still have to scan you a new from the start. Means one chaff will buy you around 20 seconds. Thats more than enough, and all you need is to go inside the station. As long as you inside, police will not be able to scan you anyore, since line of sight will be broken for them. And they will never follow you inside.

They will also never bother about you using a chaff, even if you use it inside the station.
