=== Emperor's Grace ===
is a patronage form of military/industrial government. From time to time a Senator may call on miliary assistance from The Empire itself in the case of a rebellion, natural disaster, economic crisis, etc...

The Empire will send aid, similar to the National Guard of the empirical "United States of America" in the early 2nd millennium. However, as with all things in The Empire debt is never forgotten. Once a Senator receives the aid of The Empire or The "Emperor's Grace" as it's become known, that military presence stays in most cases. Often leaving the Senator with little more than a title when it comes to governing his or her system. This is not the case for every installment of Emperor's Grace however, that is how the vast majority of systems under Emperor's Grace rule originated.

against Emperor's Dawn. An aide to Admiral Brennus allayed concerns
regarding the wide ranging rules of engagement, which include authority
by the Empire to enter any star system for the purpose of investigation
and military response by declaring that although Emperor's Dawn were a
traditionalist faction, they crossed the line when they undertook to
assassinate the late Emperor Hengist Duval and for the good of the
Empire, they will face summary justice and that any system harbouring
these renegade elements will be given an opportunity to hand these
elements over to Imperial juristiction without penalty. However if that
system conspired with Emperor's Dawn, they too would face the wrath of
Imperial vengeance.
