I'm not sure as I haven't visited in game yet. But I want to go here because I stare at this thing almost every day. It's a very "famous" star. I'm noticing that most of the systems that would be popular due to their visibility in our own night sky are permit-locked.

Since there are probably more than a few astronomy nerds and enthusiasts playing this game, those systems would be pretty flooded by "new" and inexperienced characters if they weren't locked somehow. I guess the permits make sense.

I can't wait to check out Vega!

If you play in "open play", you're not exactly correct. If you warp into the station in Open Play and other players have been there, items, missions, and everything else you'll see will also be available to / possibly taken by other players. When it comes to items that are only available at a single station there is a chance that the station could be "out" of that item until the server refreshes (ever 30 minutes or so for items).

If, however, you're playing in the Single Player mode, then you are correct. The stations and items will behave as though they have never been interacted with by any other player, and will appear to be at full stock.

But this takes away from the game in a massive way. Interacting with other players is one of the best things about the game. I have never played in Solo Mode, and never intend to do so. Even if I know that I can get more rare items in less time.

I NEVER see ''anyone'' in Open Play... I'd be thrilled to get interdicted by a real player...

Also, why the hell are there so many "wedding barges" out there with the same guy getting cold feet? WTF is the point of that? Is there some quantum entanglement going on here or just laziness on the part of the developers?

Pretty sure you can't "buy" them at Maia. You can only sell them there. You have to find most materials on your own.

According to the article, apparently you have to shoot some Barnacles and maybe they'll drop. Not sure, gotta read some more.

(But you can't buy them, right?)
