Just in case you actually bother to buy cosmetics in this game (like me), the paintjobs for this are listed on the store under "Federal Fighter." At first I thought only the Taipan had any paintjobs because I didn't see "F63" or "Condor" on the left side. Guess I should've read the list closer.

Still, the Taipan isn't a bad fighter. Much more likely to survive a second NPC enemy strafe run. I guess my $4 on blue paint was still well-spent, heh.

As of the latest update (v3.2), the easiest way to pay off a Bounty (not a fine, a bounty - if you're new, learn the difference, it's not obvious) is to go to an "Interstellar Factors" contact in a nearby system, BUT not every system has one (in fact, the vast majority don't). You can find them under the services filter on the map (read the [[Interstellar Factors]] page to see how to filter them).

During the event that started earlier today, I got a 200CR bounty by accidentally firing on a friendly a little too long. My Krait has a 3.6m CR rebuy and I only had 36k more credits than the rebuy. Not wanting to get that broke, I managed to jump out with 24% hull left, then spent the last 2.5 hours trying to figure out how the hell to pay off this measly 200CR bounty. This was the answer.
