The Diamondback Explorer has one drawback. Full deep space exploration kit means no cargo space for bringing back juicy finds, and also no shields either.

The series itself is one major mistake: Explorers don't need fatter, heavier slots, they need more smaller slots for stellar/survey scanners and extended survival equipment like AFM's. Slapping an Advanced Discovery Scanner and a Detailed Surface Scanner in size 3 slots is just design incompetance.

A tiny ship with the name inspiring explorers, this is actually a terrible space exploration ship. It simply lacks the space to do anything else but fly and scan in that regards. What it actually excels at is planetary operation, offering just enough internal space for the rover, fair cargo bay space, & shields systems.

The narrow band forward turrets are also good for dumbfire missiles for base assult missions as well, and two medium turrets for shooing off space pests. The Scout is a no more, no less minimalist approach when it comes to planetary exploration.

Perhaps if you have vacant passenger cabins, and collect an occupied escape pod, it converts into a passenger who gives extra credits if you take them to a destination.

Or... Load up with passengers and take a cruise around the Galaxy - any objects scanned with passengers onboard giving extra credits (tourist bonus) when the results are sold on.

Eravate (Russell Ring) has no such weapons as the D2 beam laser. Does not exist. So that tells me that any other listing of sites where the Class 2 or Class 3 beam lasers are listed for sale are either lies or hoaxes by ones who simply want to further their limited wants for fame. These forums for elite dangerous can not be trusted or relied upon for truthfulness and genuineness. I pity you all who do this to other people....
