A limited cargo and passenger capability has not stopped it becoming a preferred personal transport for those who like to project a certain attitude in their dealings.|In-Game Description}}
The Vulture is a heavy space-superiority fighter manufactured by Core Dynamics. Featuring two large hardpoints, the Vulture packs serious firepower into a relatively small frame and excels at combat, but has difficulty adapting to other roles. Although its top speed is mediocre compared to other fighters, it one of the most maneuverable ships on the market thanks to its powerful lateral thrusters relative to the ship's mass, only being out-turned by smaller, less well-armed ships.

Overview
In combat, the Vulture is one of the most powerful small-sized ships in combat. It is capable of easily staying out of the firing range of tougher ships like Anacondas or Pythons and its two large hardpoints are capable of dishing out heavy damage. However, the small number of hardpoints means weapons such as Missiles, Mines, Torpedoes or Railguns are not viable as they have limited ammo capacities and are not available in Class 3. As for weapon mount types, both fixed and gimballed mounts are viable due to the Vulture's nimble nature, but turreted mounts are inadvisable due to their higher power consumption, lower damage and that they don't take advantage of the Vulture's manoeuvrability.

Defensively, the Vulture has impressive statistics on paper. It possesses the highest base shield and armor hitpoints out of all small sized ships; it has very good internal compartments (even better than the much more expensive Fer-de-Lance); and its number of utility mounts is 4, the same as larger ships such as Python and Federal Gunship. However, there is a catch, as the Vulture is held back by its limited power capacity. This greatly limits viable loadout choices and encourages smart module priority control.

The Vulture suffers from overspecialization and is very poor in any job besides bounty hunting and assassination. It has terrible cargo capacity, even for its size so it will do very poorly in any form of trading or mining but most importantly it functions very poorly as a pirate as it has very low space for plundered loot, especially when a Hatch Breaker Limpet Controller is installed, however, its small size makes collecting cargo easier, meaning collector limpets are not needed. It has awful jump range at a woeful maximum of 22.36 ly without engineering, the second lowest of any small sized ship making it not only useless as an explorer, it can't easily get to Interstellar Factors to clear any bounties. Unlike the Fer-de-Lance it does very poorly as an anti-Thargoid ship, as its low number of hardpoints limits its use of Ax weaponry, leaving it without many options to deal with Interceptors. Against Scouts it also suffers as it will struggle to keep a sightline on the quick moving ships; since it cannot make much use of turreted mounts and they will quickly tear the ship to pieces.

Overall the Vulture functions as a small Fer-de-Lance; unbeaten in sheer power for its size but is one of the worst ships in any other role. Because it is so limited to Bounty Hunting it has very few options and makes a poor single vessel for a commander to fly and the Asp Explorer or Keelback may be more appealing due to their multi-purpose ability.

The Vulture's two large hardpoints are located above and behind the cockpit, about halfway down the hull of the ship. Due to the spacing between the hardpoints, a loadout of two fixed weapons may have slight issues with converging on smaller targets.

The Vulture has two manned stations. The pilot's station is on the centerline of the ship. The auxiliary station is offset to the port side above and behind the pilot's station. Because turreted mounts are a very bad idea on a Vulture and it has no fighter bay it is one of the least useful ships for Multicrew.

The Vulture has an available 16 piece cosmetic ship kit that can be purchased from the Frontier store which allows you to "remodel your ship in your personal style". The ship kit does not affect gameplay.
*The Vulture was originally priced at 21,925,615 CR. After an outcry from the community that it was overpriced, Frontier lowered the cost of the Vulture to 4,925,615 CR.
*The Vulture is produced by Core Dynamics and sold to all three of the Major Factions.
*One of the Ship Kit pieces will obscure the pilot's view slightly, making it the only ship kit to somewhat affect gameplay.
*The Vulture was originally priced at 21,925,615 CR. After an outcry from the community that it was overpriced, Frontier lowered the cost of the Vulture to 4,925,615 CR.
*The Vulture is produced by Core Dynamics and sold to all three of the Major Factions.

The Vulture is a heavy space-superiority fighter manufactured by Core Dynamics. Featuring two large hardpoints, the Vulture packs serious firepower into a relatively small frame and excels at combat, but has difficulty adapting to other roles. Although its top speed is mediocre compared to other fighters, it one of the most maneuverable ships on the market owing to its powerful lateral thrusters and extremely powerful engines relative to the ship's mass, only being out-turned by smaller, less-armed ships.

Overview
In combat, the Vulture is one of the most powerful small ships available. It is capable of easily staying out of the firing range of tougher ships like Anacondas or Pythons and its two large hardpoints can quickly deal heavy damage to any ship. However, the small number of hardpoints means weapons such as Missiles, Mines, Torpedoes or Railguns are unviable due to their limited ammo capacities. As for weapon mount types, both fixed and gimballed mounts are viable due to the Vulture's nimble nature, but turreted mounts are inadvisable due to their higher power consumption, lower damage and that they don't take advantage of the Vulture's manoeuvrability. Overall, the Vulture is one of the best Bounty Hunter ships available.

However, there is a catch: the Vulture is held back by its limited power capacity, which greatly limits viable loadout choices and encourages smart module priority control.

It is extremely nimble and can keep fixed mounts on targets very easily. However, with just two Hardpoints; one on each side, weapons such as Missiles, Mines, Torpedos or Railguns are also unviable due to their limited ammo capacities. Nevertheless, the Vulture is one of the best Bounty Hunter ships available.

However, there is a catch: the Vulture is held back by its limited power capacity, which greatly limits viable loadout choices and encourages smart module priority control.

The Orca is a large ship manufactured by Saud Kruger and is currently one of three available passenger ships, the others being the Beluga Liner and the Dolphin. As a Saud Kruger ship, it is capable of carrying luxury suite cabins exclusive to this brand. Since this ship is not intended for combat or exploration, its class 6 internal compartment and one class 5 internal compartment are limited in what modules can be installed: only Cargo Racks, Passenger Cabins, Hull Reinforcement Packages, or Module Reinforcement Packages may be installed.

Overview
The Orca is essentially a passenger carrier version of the Type-7, sacrificing many of its upsides to focus on the passenger aspect, similar to what the Dolphin was to the Type-6.

Where officially its maneuverability is slightly better than an Anaconda and worse than a Beluga Liner, in practice the Orca handles far better than this rating suggests. It has a remarkably high turn rate, high acceleration and max speed, and is very good at strafing. However, its relatively small power plant and limited hardpoint capacity prevent it from becoming a great combat ship. It doesn't help that its large size makes it an easy target, whereas its shield and armor hitpoints are mediocre for a ship of this size. One of the biggest downsides to the ship is the hardpoint placement; all of which are on the underside of the ship making it easy for ships to stay out of the Orca's firing range. This hasn't stopped a handful of Commanders setting up groups dedicated to combat in Orcas, and like any ship, it is still formidable with engineering and skilled pilots.

The Jump range can reach a rather impressive average of 37ly which makes it a very good explorer. This comes at a fraction of the price of the Anaconda so the Orca is a better ship for large distance than most others and this contributes heavily to its role as a cruise ship, letting luxury missions spanning many lightyears possible. Its range is still less than that of a Diamondback/Asp Explorer, which are both a fraction of the price and much better at self-defense.

As a trader or miner the Orca is a very bad option. In both aspects, the Type-7 is a far better option especially due to the Orca's huge pricetag. At only 192T of possible cargo it has the lowest of any large ship as well as low compartment space.

The biggest downside the Orca has is its pricetag; it is only slightly better at its roles than the Dolphin or Type 7 but at more than ten times the cost. It is also worse than the Beluga Liner at everything but jump range so commanders looking for passenger missions may choose it instead. The Orca is very good at carrying passengers long range, however because of the weight it's ill-advised to bring bulk passengers long range; at which point the Dolphin outclasses the Orca.

The hardpoint placement of the ship is as follows: all 3 hardpoints are located on the underside of the ship. The large hardpoint is placed in front of the front landing gear, whereas the 2 medium hardpoints are located side by side behind the large hardpoint.

The Orca's heat dispersion capabilities are relatively poor, so caution must be taken when adding or engineering modules with a high thermal load. The ship is especially prone to overheat when scooping fuel.

The bridge is located on the bottom of massive window in the front of the ship, with the pilot's station offset to the port side. From there the pilot enjoys excellent viewing angles in all directions but down.

Purchase Locations

One of the biggest downsides to the ship is the hardpoint placement; all of which are on the underside of the ship making it extremely easy for even bulky and slow ships to stay out of the Orca's firing range. While it has much more firepower than a Type 7, its terrible hardpoint placement and miserable defences make it much worse at self-defense.

* A 'fasten seatbelt' tone will sound in the cabin when using this ship's boost.
