The Beluga Liner is a passenger ship manufactured by Saud Kruger. Comparable to an Imperial Cutter in mass and even bulkier in volume, the Beluga is designed to carry passengers to their destination in comfort. Only the Beluga and its smaller cousins the Orca and the Dolphin can be equipped with Luxury Passenger Cabin modules, allowing it to transport VIPs.

Overview
The third in the Saud Kruger line after the Dolphin and Orca, the Beluga Liner is the Passenger equivalent of the Type-9; sacrificing the huge cargo hold to carry luxury VIPs.

The Beluga Liner is designed to accommodate even more passengers in luxury and comfort than an Orca, but this specialization comes at the cost of speed and maneuverability. The result is a slow, cumbersome ship that is difficult to fit through a station's Access Corridor, deploying the landing gear folds the ship's bulky rear fins down, making it easier to traverse. To compensate, the Beluga features a Class 7 Frame Shift Drive and a 128-tonne Fuel Tank that gives it an impressive travel range for long-distance cruises. The Beluga can also fit a Fighter Hangar to bolster its modest offensive capability, though it is in no way optimized or recommended for extensive combat.

In Combat the Beluga performs poorly. While the ship does boast better hardpoints and maneuverability than the Type-9, the hardpoints are positioned in a way that does not allow them good coverage areas or firing arcs, making it difficult to keep even turreted mounts on targets. The biggest downside is the shield generator and hull mass; which make the Beluga very easy to take down with even moderate fire. Combined with its colossal size making it a ridiculously large target the Beluga is often easy pickings for many ships and even a Fighter Hanger only helps so much.

As a cargo ship, the Beluga has 368t of potential space. This is fairly poor for a large ship, only beating the Type-7 by 60 tonnes. The Beluga is capable of doing cargo runs but the price puts it in range of the Type-9; which completely overshadows it all together.

As a dedicated, high-capacity passenger liner or simple Explorer, the Beluga suffers from a number of shortcomings that restrict its ability to adequately serve other roles. The Beluga cannot hold a Shield Generator larger than Class 6, making it the only ship unable to fit a shield generator that is optimized for its mass. The Beluga also has issues with heat management, which can exceed safe levels during and immediately after a Hyperspace jump due the heat build-up from the charging FSD; this can be partially mitigated by installing a higher-rated Power Plant, but the added mass will hinder the ship's jump range.

The Beluga is debatably worse than the Orca predecessor. It has a worse jump range, only marginally better combat potential and a frustratingly large size making docking difficult. The Beluga is able to carry a large amount of passengers however, it is unbeaten in the profit one can make for bulk VIP passenger missions. However for long range missions, the Dolphin is a better option and for bulk lower class, the Type-9 can carry more. This makes the Beluga a very specialised ship that excels in bulk VIP passenger delivery, but little else.

The Beluga Liner is available only to the owners of Elite Dangerous: Horizons.

Exploration vessel
The Beluga Liner is a large class VIP passenger vessel. The Beluga will be the most "sci-fi, star trek" ship available, that makes it great at being an explorer.

In Beyond Chapter Four, the optional compartments free up. This means there are 4 size 6 slots, a couple of 5s and some 3s. Pair that with integrating the Discovery scanner you can be an explorer with a large ship and extended range.
Here is the Beta Coriolis rough build.
* 1 size 6 fighter bay: 2 different craft To check out all the new planetary goodies.
* 1 size 4 SRV: 2 SRVs in case 1 goes down
* a couple AFMS: for repairing, and another in case the first goes kaput.
* 1 size 3d repair limpet controller
* a size 32 cargo, but filled with 6 limpets
* a size 5 shield (smallest I could go)
* Surface scanner
* Guardian booster (if you have it)
* A fuel tank: To go further into the unknown areas without scoopable stars
* A very rough engineering job got the above build to ~40Ly jump range to ~50 with the guardian tech
Many explorers don't need a Fighter Bay, but once an explorer gets enough rank and money, they would go back out to the black with a big ship capable of doing many lengthy trips to unscoopable star systems. It has a great view too.
{{Quote|Whale by name, whale by nature, the Beluga is one of the largest ships in the game. As a specialised Passenger Liner the Beluga has multiple module slots that can accommodate all types of passenger cabins. Well armoured, and decently quick for such a large civilian ship, the Beluga has a similar speed to the Hauler. When escorting passengers across the galaxy you’ll need defence, so the Beluga has 6 utility mounts and 5 medium hardpoints. The Beluga has plenty of mid-range sized internal slots (4 threes, 1 four, 2 fives and 4 sixes).
The Alliance Crusader is a ship manufactured by Lakon Spaceways for the Alliance. It represents a middle-ground between the Alliance Chieftain and the Alliance Challenger, combining heavy firepower with a Fighter Hangar for Ship-Launched Fighters and two additional pilot seats to accommodate Multicrew. While the inclusion of the Fighter Hangar has resulted in a noticeable decrease in overall speed and manoeuvrability, Lakon is confident that the Crusader can hold its own in any combat situation, especially against the Thargoids.

Overview
The third ship in the Alliance faction ship series and the second variant of the Alliance Chieftain, the Alliance Crusader's primary advantage over the other two Alliance ships is its ability to equip a Fighter Hangar for Ship-Launched Fighters, a feature that both the Chieftain and the Alliance Challenger lack. Consequently, it also boasts an additional pilot seat for Multicrew, giving it a total of three seats versus the two of its companion ships.

The Alliance Crusader possesses an almost identical Hardpoint layout to the Alliance Chieftain, but trades one Class 3 Hardpoint for one Class 2 Hardpoint, making it comparable to a Federal Assault Ship in terms of base firepower. Its increased mass drags its manoeuvrability and speed down when compared to the Chieftain and Challenger, although it does retain the trademark handling features of the ship series. Its agility surpasses that of every other medium-size ship able to launch fighters, including the Krait MkII.

The reduced number of hardpoints of the Crusader is compensated by its ability to deploy Ship-Launched Fighters, resulting in it being a potentially stronger option for combat than it would appear to be at first glance, if a player is utilising a fighter bay.

The Crusader retains the three Military Compartments found in both of its predecessors, but trades the Chieftain's single Class 4 Internal Compartment for two Class 3 slots. This alteration provides slightly more flexibility in terms of module selection, but results in the same maximum cargo capacity as the Chieftain: 120t.

The jump range of the Crusader is lower than that of the Challenger, and is one of the lowest in the game; this makes the Crusader an unsuitable option for exploration, and further emphasizes its specialized combat use.

Compared to the Chieftain and the Challenger, the Crusader has lower mobility and multipurpose potential, as well as reduced weapons loadout versatility due to its lower number of total hardpoints. However, its ability to deploy up to two fighters simultaneously is something that should not be underestimated, especially when these are flown by skilled pilots. Therefore, the Crusader is a decent option for commanders who make good use of ship-launched fighters, but for commanders who do not require such a function or prefer not to make use of it, the Chieftain and Challenger can be better suited to their needs.

When compared to the Krait MkII, the Crusader features significantly lower top speed, superior agility, weaker shields, and a far more durable hull. Compared to the Federal Gunship, the Crusader is faster and far more agile, though with similar hull durability and similar but potentially lower shield capacity depending on the loadout.

The Alliance Crusader is most commonly available in Alliance systems. Despite its name and affiliation, it requires no rank or reputation with the Alliance to purchase.
Notes
*The Alliance Crusader was released with the Chapter Three (3.2) update of Elite Dangerous: Beyond on August 28, 2018.
*The Alliance Crusader's name was accidentally first revealed on the Frontier Store shortly after the release of the 3.1 update. It was promptly removed, leading many to believe that "Alliance Crusader" was an old internal name for the Alliance Challenger rather than a new ship.
*When deployed, the cover for the top mounted hardpoint will clip through the ship.

Trivia
*Like the Alliance Chieftain and Alliance Challenger, the Alliance Crusader is named after a British tank, in this case the A15 Crusader.
*Visually the Crusader can be extremely difficult to distinguish from the Chieftain, as its only visual differences are its back wing and paint scheme.
*The Crusader is the only Alliance ship to not have a white paint scheme, instead being a dark blue
