Compare size 8 guardian PD above to a fully engineered Charge Enhanced: WEP 74.2/10.3, ENG 49.4/6.9, SYS 49.4/6.9, integrity 165, power draw 0.96 MW. All engineered stats are better, with capacitor size being MUCH better than the guardian one (37% better for ENG and SYS, 48% for WEP).

Goes to further show that Guardian modules are for players who have not/choose not to unlock and perform engineering. A different grind path I suppose you could call it.

Overcharged with incendiary. With the new engineering they get 20 DPS, compare that to a OC small fixed beam laser at 17 DPS. With the Enforcer's 1.8km falloff it could be considered OP vs. shields, especially considering the WEP draw.

Piercing value is only 30 so even with corrosive anything with over 40 hardness (DBX up) won't get full damage.

Probably wouldn't be t-bag if it came in medium size as well. Small size damage looks to be roughly 20% less than the equivalent fixed beam, so 12-13 DPS would be about right. Game breaking? I don't think so as it would only be used by miners as defence: range, heat and damage would still be worse than the equivalent beam.
